    Affiliate marketing is when a company sell its products by signing up individuals who market the companies products and get a commission, or in a simpler term affiliate marketing is earning a commission by promoting peoples or companies products.

   How do you become an affiliate marketer?

              Choosing the right Network.

     You can become an affiliate marketer by choosing the right   affiliate network ,having a website or a blog and using social media, there are numerous affiliates network but i'm going to be focusing on 3 affiliates networks in Nigeria.

    A. Jumia affiliate program

        Jumia affiliate program is the most reputable affiliate program in Nigeria right now, through jumia affiliate program you ca turn you social media into a money making machine.

  If you decide to join jumia affiliate program you can earn up to 11% commission on every sale made.

B. Amazon affiliate program

    This is one of the best affiliate programs right now, as a beginner in affiliate marketing, this is the best for you because amazon allows you to promote things you are interested in,which makes promoting it a lot easier and you are paid from every sale you make.

C. Ali Express affiliate program

I'll recommend this for existing affiliate marketers or a social media influencer. Ali Express gives out banners and links to promote the products on your social media platform. you can start earning when a visitor uses your link to access Ali Express and makes a purchase and you get a commission.

Research and select the right affiliate products

     When choosing an affiliate product to promote you have to research on what is trending, what people would need right now, what people would be willing to buy,

 An example; with this pandemic people are more likely to buy face masks, hand sanitizers, vitamins, health products than they are to buy party equipment, school clothes,books.

    So before you choose a product to promote make sure it is going to bring maximum amount of sales.

  As a new affiliate marketer you don't necessarily have to buy all the products you are promoting but to promote it better, its really for establishing credibility and trust with your customers.

Using social media

 Social media isn't the best way to promote products if you aren't an influencer or with a lot of followers and a lot of people don't click on links when they know they are being redirected to buy a product so you have to find a way to cloak the link.
